The class will examine the main concepts of narratology such as text, a narrative text, a story and a fabula. These concepts will be broken down to more detailed elements.
The focus will mostly be on fiction, but we will also touch on elements of non-fiction. We will exploredifferent mediums for creating and publishing stories such as blogging, podcasting, videos, etc.
This class will be very project-based. After each class period, students will have a completed project to add to theirportfolio. The final exam will be an extension of the student’s favorite piece from the portfolio.
